We have a small flock of our egg laying hens, but also stock Gate Farm Free Range eggs. We are pleased to be able to support this successful rural family run business based in a nearby village.

We also grow our own chickens for meat production at Christmas. These birds are fed on home milled food and available at up to 6kg dressed weight – why bother with a turkey when you can have a succulent chicken!

 

During the rest of the year we stock St Georges and Sutton Hoo chickens produced by Diaper Poultry. These brands are respectively kept in enhanced welfare barns and free range and we believe that both ranges reflect the high welfare standards that we wish to promote in our butchers.
